We, the members of ROAD USERS AWARENESS AND WELFARE INITIATIVE a not for-profit and non-political organisation do firmly and solemnly resolve to provide for ourselves a constitution and to be governed by the provisions therein contained.

Specifically, the aim of the NGO is to grow nationwide consciousness towards reducing the devastating effects of road traffic injuries and was primarily established in response to demand from Nigerians for a forum where they can share knowledge and collectively advocate for matters of road safety and the rights of victims of road traffic crashes.
